A salesperson can sell more cars in a month than their customers will own in a lifetime. Buying or selling a car is something we deal with every day, buying and owning a car is a big deal for your customer - there’s an emotional element that really makes owning one far more impactful to them. So, how important is that vehicle to them and why does trading in a car become challenging? Here’s what Canadians told us:
It’s pretty clear that many Canadians see their cars as more than just a machine and have an emotional connection with it. So, the next time someone is trading in their vehicle for a new one, think of their hesitation as them just getting ready to say goodbye to something that has been an important part of their lives. If you show your customer that you understand that the vehicle is more than a piece of metal and acknowledge the connection they have with it, they’ll feel more comfortable handing over the keys.
